THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) COLORAMA (C Maujean) was nervous in the stalls.
b) OPEN SECRET (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length.
c) LADY CHARTOUCHE (K Minnie), CROWN PLAZA (S Naidoo) and MOONSTRIKE (J Gates) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) The start of this race was delayed due to the thirty-minute interval between races.
b) At the 900m STAGE PLAY (C Zackey) was momentarily unbalanced when brushed on the hindquarters by AIMEE'S IDOL (S Khathi).
c) Leaving the 300m GLOBAL GODDESS (L Mxothwa) and ANGELSEA (D Schwarz) brushed when both horses shifted ground marginally.
d) Leaving the 100m MOONSTRIKE (J Gates) was bumped by OPEN SECRET (R Fourie), which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened.
e) Jockey K Minnie reported that LADY CHARTOUCHE, which gave ground to the field quickly from the 700m and was not persevered with in the straight, did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with PEACE FROG. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
g) Jockey S Naidoo reported that CROWN PLAZA did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
h) Jockey R Khathi reported that TABATHA CAT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
i) MON TRESOR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised. (LM)
