THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PERFORM (D Schwarz) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) BOMBER GRIGIO (R Fourie) and ANNEWITHAN E (*R A Venniker) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) OUTER DIMENSION (J P van der Merwe) hung in throughout, proving difficult to assist. b) Approaching the 150m, SOLO DIVA (G Lerena) was steadied to avoid the heels of ANNEWITHAN E (*R A Venniker), which shifted out away from the crop. Shortly thereafter, in the concluding stages, EXPLOSIVE BOND (Wes Marwing) was unbalanced on two occasions when bumped by ANNEWITHAN E (*R A Venniker), which continued to shift out away from the crop. Apprentice R A Venniker was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that she, as the rider of ANNEWITHAN E, failed to ensure that she did not cause did not cause interference to SOLO DIVA (G Lerena) at the 150m and EXPLOSIVE BOND (Wes Marwing) in the concluding stages. Apprentice R A Venniker signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of ten (10) days. Suspension dates: To be advised. c) EXPLOSIVE BOND (Wes Marwing), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (MduP).
