THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BATTLE OF KURSK (M Yeni) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1400m, MISTER WHISTLE (C Zackey) and BATTLE OF KURSK (M Yeni), which both commenced to over-race, came together and bumped when awkwardly placed between KUDZU (G Lerena) and FEEL ALL RIGHT (Wes Marwing), which rolled in marginally. Thereafter, BATTLE OF KURSK (M Yeni) took hold of the bit, circled the field, took up a leading position and tired from the 300m. b) PURPLE PITCHER (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R Klaasen advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) FEEL ALL RIGHT raced without blinkers (declared 11 August 2023 at 07H11).
