THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TIMBAVATI RIVER (C Maujean) was stubborn loading. b) ON THE ROAD AGAIN (R Fourie) and ABSOLU NOIR (K Minnie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KUZNETSOV (D Schwarz) was hanging in from the 300m. b) CLAP OF THUNDER (Y Ramzan) was hanging in in the latter stages. c) Jockey W Agrella reported that GIOCATORE tired quickly in the straight and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that GIMME A DIAMOND did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockeys S Khumalo and M Mjoka, the riders of GLOBAL FORCE and MANCHESTER FIGTHER respectively, reported that these geldings made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) TIMBAVATI RIVER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
