THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) CABERNEIGH (S Moodley) and BASIE RAAKVAT (*B Plaatjies) raced detached from the field in the early and middle stages. b) DRINKS ALL ROUND (J Gates) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. c) MIGHTY RAIN (N Patel) shifted in away from the crop from the 200m. d) TEEREX (*S Hlengwa) was hanging in from the 200m. e) Shortly before the finish line EMPRESS GAME (C Habib) had to steady in anticipation of the narrow run closing between COTTON RON (C Maujean) and ACTIVATOR (M Yeni). f) Jockey R Khathi reported that SIR WILLIAM took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) ACTIVATOR (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (DZ).
