THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MY MISTRESS (C Zackey) and HEART OF ETERNITY (M van Rensburg) were stubborn loading. b) RAIN BIRD (C Maujean) was nervous in the stalls. c) SUNSET ROAR (W Agrella) was nervous in the stalls, fly-jumped leaving the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. d) LAVA FIELDS (S Khathi) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. e) MORE THAN A DREAM (S Khumalo) jumped inwards and thereafter was slow into stride. f) FUEL THE FRENZY (K Minnie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 100m GIDEON'S DAUGHTER (R Fourie) was carried out marginally by MORE THAN A DREAM (S Khumalo), which was hanging out, shifted out and was immediately straightened. b) LAVA FIELDS (S Khathi) raced green. c) JUST FOREVER (M Mjoka) and FLY BETTER (Y Ramzan) were hanging in throughout. d) In view of the performance of MY MISTRESS (C Zackey) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with QUIRK OF FATE and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m.
