THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, IGNATIUS (G Lerena) and KING'S EXPRESS (S Khumalo) came together and bumped. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FRENCH IMPACT (C Habib), which raced fiercely in the early and middle stages, tired badly from the 300m. b) In view of the performance of AMERICAN BISCUIT (R Fourie), which hung in from the 400m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) KING'S EXPRESS shifted sharply both ways away from the crop from the 300m. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with CHILLI MOON in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) KING'S EXPRESS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
