THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AUNT PITTYPAT (A Mgudlwa), IDEAL FUTURE (*D B Geerthsen) and GO DREAM MACHINE (*M K Katjedi) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 400m, GO DREAM MACHINE (*M K Katjedi) was checked off the heels of IDEAL FUTURE (*D B Geerthsen), which was switched out to continue its run. Apprentice D B Geerthsen was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of IDEAL FUTURE, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GO DREAM MACHINE (*M K Katjedi) when he switched out approaching the 400m. Apprentice D B Geerthsen signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of seven (7) days. Suspension dates: To be advised. b) BROTHERHOODOFMAGIC (M Yeni) hung in from the 200m. c) At approximately the 200m, Jockey A Mgudlwa, the rider of AUNT PITTYPAT, accidentally dropped his crop. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, COROMANDEL (S Khumalo) was brushed in by AUNT PITTYPAT (A Mgudlwa), which rolled in. d) COROMANDEL (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
