THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILENT WHISPERER (L Mxothwa) jumped awkwardly, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. b) Jockey M Yeni was unbalanced when QHAWEKAZI jumped awkwardly inwards leaving the stalls. c) BELLA'S LEGEND (K Matsunyane) jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) UBUKHWEBEZANA (G Wright) refused to proceed to the start and was subsequently withdrawn by the Stewards, causing a delay. This filly is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.4 until such time as she proves tractable proceeding to the start on a race day. b) SONG OF MYSELF (A Domeyer) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) BELLA'S LEGEND (K Matsunyane) raced green. d) Trainer MH Maingard was charged with a contravention of Rule 49.1 (read with Local Condition 5.1.2) in that he failed to do his scratchings by the close of declarations, which resulted in BELLA'S LEGEND being deemed to be an acceptor. Stable Employee C Kensley, acting on behalf of Trainer MH Maingard, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer MH Maingard was given a warning. e) SONG OF MYSELF, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass- Robinson was advised.
