THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOVEREIGN STATE (S Veale) reared on one occasion in the stalls. Lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BOWIE (*N Nastili) stumbled leaving the starting stalls. b) At approximately the 1100m, DOCKOFTHEBAY (*R A Venniker) had to steady momentarily and was switched out to avoid running onto the heels of BOWIE (*N Nastili) which rolled in. Apprentice N Nastili appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take more care when shifting ground in races in future. c) In view of the performances of AQUA BOLT (R Khathi) (15.50 lengths, 13/2 in the betting) and CAMORA (K Matsunyane) (10.20 lengths, 14/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) SOVEREIGN STATE (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
