THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PLAY WITH FIRE (+R Hendriks) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. b) ANNEWITHAN E (+S Mosia) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PLAY WITH FIRE (+R Hendriks), which was unruly, proved reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a handler. Trainer F Bronkhorst was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, she may be suspended. b) ANNEWITHAN E (+S Mosia) and MONTE CINTO (+T Matsoele) brushed leaving the stalls. c) SILVER JUBILEE (+V Lerena) hung in badly from the 350m. Thereafter, Work Rider V Lerena reported that this filly did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) MONTE CINTO (+T Matsoele) hung in from the 300m. e) ANNEWITHAN E (+S Mosia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W C Marwing advised (MS). WORK RIDER CHANGES: a) MONTE CINTO: Work Rider T Matsoele weighed out at 57,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
