THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process GOLD FOR AFRICA rushed the front gates and dislodged Jockey E Webber. As a consequence, UNCLE GEORGE (M Mjoka) became restless in the stalls, which resulted in the saddle shifting. UNCLE GEORGE (M Mjoka) was taken out, the saddle was re-fitted and this gelding was reloaded. WAITING FOR SUMMER (C Maujean), which was drawn next to GOLD FOR AFRICA (E Webber) and GOLD FOR AFRICA (E Webber) were taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a lengthy delay. b) IRISH RAIN (W Agrella) kicked the back gates of the starting stalls. c) ATKINSON GRIMSHAW fly-jumped leaving the stalls and dislodged Jockey S Naidoo. d) ALADO'S PRIDE (R Khathi) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MY BOY REECEY (L Mxothwa) raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight. b) Leaving the 600m ALADO'S PRIDE (R Khathi) brushed the inside running rail. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding GOLD FOR AFRICA (E Webber), Trainer K Mitchley will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. d) GOLD FOR AFRICA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
