THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CLIFF HANGER (G Lerena) jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SMITH AND WESSON (Wes Marwing), ROSE FOR TRIPPI (C Zackey) and COSMIC STAR (D De Gouveia) suffered varying degrees of interference when awkwardly placed on the inside of CLIFF HANGER (G Lerena), which jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls. b) Apprentice T Mayhew, the rider of AUSSENKEHR, accidentally dropped his crop at the 400m. c) CLIFF HANGER (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ON CUE abnormal respiratory noise and coughing post race.
