THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MALDANO (*N Nastili) was stubborn loading. b) MERESANKH (C Maujean) was restless in the stalls. c) MOHANDAS (D Schwarz) was nervous in the stalls. d) BOB LEE SWAGGER (*B Plaatjies) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing three lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 500m a tiring WHAT A TIME (M Mjoka) was carried wide on the latter part of the turn by MALDANO (*N Nastili), which was directed outwards and into clear running. Apprentice *N Nastili appeared before the Board, accompanied by his Riding Master, and was advised to be more aware of other runners in similar circumstances. b) Jockey E Webber (SEETHEBADGE) dropped his crop at the 100m. c) Jockey B Fayd'Herbe reported that DEVIL A SAINT, which raced awkwardly on the turn, did not respond to his urgings in the straight and he did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. d) Jockey M Mjoka reported that WHAT A TIME changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding BOB LEE SWAGGER (*B Plaatjies), Trainer GD Smith will be advised to have this colt re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. f) GUERRA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
