THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TURBO POWER (C Maujean) stumbled leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TURBO POWER (C Maujean) stumbled shortly after the start. b) At approximately the 1200m, FRENCH IMPACT (*S Sosibo), which commenced to over-race, ran onto and clipped the heels of DIESEL'S SHADOW (C Habib). c) Shortly before the finish line, TURBO POWER (C Maujean) was brushed in by NOTHINGELSEMATTERS (K Matsunyane), which was directed inwards away from the heels of MOOLA MAN (G Lerena), which shifted in marginally away from the crop and was corrected. d) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with DIESEL'S SHADOW in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) PLAYER (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Dawson advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) DIESEL'S SHADOW cut into left hind; mouth injury. b) VESUVIO mouth injury. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
