BARBERTON SILVER jumped outwards and thereafter was slow into stride, losing one length. MORSE was restless in the stalls. KALIMENTA WOOD was unruly proceeding to the start and broke loose from the rider, bolted back to the parade ring and was withdrawn by the Stewards. Trainer Stewart will be advised that, in view of this colt's behaviour and history, this colt is suspended indefinitely until such time as he has been proved tractable to proceed to the start on a race day to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Trainer Stewart will be further advised that, should this horse continue to behave in this manner, the Stewards may have to consider a suspension. Apprentice Mbhele BARBERTON SILVER, reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding. IPSWITCH was pulling hard early. THE SECOND WAVE was hanging out throughout. IT'S COMPLEX and MORSE were hanging out and shifted out continuously in the straight. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported that JJ THE WOLF shifted in sharply at the 400m, resulting in him having to check this gelding to avoid the heels of DAI ICHI IT'S COMPLEX was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KALIMENTA WOOD raced with alumites in front, unshod behind Vet: BARBERTON SILVER - no abnormal respiratory noise detected. Scratched: CONGO COMPAQ - abnormal temperature. KALIMENTA WOOD - intractable.
