THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LADY LOOK ALIKE (L Mxothwa) was reluctant to load and restless in the stalls. b) KYTHERA (C Orffer) was fractious in the stalls, taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. c) LITTLE MISS PINK (B Fayd'Herbe) and MIA'S HARPER (C Zackey) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) HEAR MY VOICE (M Yeni) raced wide without cover on the turn. b) Approaching the 900m KYTHERA (C Orffer), which over raced in the early stages, had to be steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between MONTELENA (R Fourie) and LADY LOOK ALIKE (L Mxothwa). c) KNOCKOUT (G van Niekerk) was hanging out throughout. d) In view of the performance of KYTHERA (C Orffer) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding KYTHERA (C Orffer), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 30/10/2023 to 05/11/2023 inclusive). KYTHERA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding LADY LOOK ALIKE (L Mxothwa), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 30/10/2023 to 05/11/2023 inclusive). LADY LOOK ALIKE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. g) Jockey G Lerena was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on RED MOON RISING, resulting in a change of rider. Jockey G Lerena signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00. h) LADY LOOK ALIKE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised.
