PARA HANDY and ANTE OMINA lost one length respectively and were slow into stride. Jockey Steyn reported that he felt something amiss with JADEED in the running. Jockey Ndlovu reported that TOMMY THE BUILDER made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. In the concluding stages, CHESTNUT WILD was brushed in by AFLEET FLYER, which was carried in by SEVILLE, which shifted in away from the crop from the 100m. A race review was called into the above incident. However, after reviewing the patrol films of the race, no further action was taken. Jockey Bogaleboile signed an admission of guilt for a contravention, read with Guideline M on the use of the crop, in that he used his crop more than 12 times in the entire race whilst riding the horse CHESTNUT WILD. A fine of was imposed. PARA HANDY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. TUNDRA raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: JADEED - nothing obvious detected. TOMMY THE BUILDER - coughing post-race. DAYS OF THUNDER - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: ROYAL FORT - abscess near fore.
