THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FINAL DESTINY (R Fourie) raced detached in the early and middle stages. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) At the 1000m FEW DOLLARS MORE (C F Dicken) ran onto and clipped the heels of WAVE WARRIOR (J Jacobs) and stumbled, dislodging Jockey C F Dicken. As a result, STEVIE GEE (C Habib) and ALL THE TIME (*R A Venniker) had to take evasive action to avoid the fallen rider. c) Jockey C F Dicken was unable to weigh in as a result of the above incident. The Board acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. d) SENOR GARCIA (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
