The start of this Race was delayed due to there being a power failure, no coverage from the on-course feed to both the Kimberley boardroom and virtual boardroom, a protest by the Handlers, JURY proving reluctant to proceed to the start and having to be assisted by a handler. ROCK OF JOY and KEWPIE DOLL were stubborn loading. TITAN OF TIBET, ROCK OF JOY and SPIERTIER were slow, losing 1 length. JURY proved reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by handler. Trainer M N Prinsloo was advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. Shortly after the start PHILADELPHIA ROCK was bumped in by ALL ABOUT SOPHIA, which jumped inwards. In view of the performance from PHILADELPHIA ROCK, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. SPIERTIER shifted in away from the crop from the 200m. LISTEN TO LILLY shifted out away from the crop from the 100m. Jockey B Nyawo reported that he felt something amiss with U FOR ME in running and did not persevere with his ride from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning U FOR ME, this mare is suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority for an indefinite period. A veterinary certificate for U FOR ME must be submitted to the Veterinary Department of the NHRA, before it can be entered for a race. U FOR ME is also required to gallop for the NHRA veterinary department after which, if found fit to race, will be sent for specimen collection for analysis. SUGAR MAN and ALL ABOUT SOPHIA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PHILADELPHIA ROCK - not striding out right front. SPIERTIER - abnormal respiratory noise. U FOR ME - not striding out left front. Indefinite suspension for full veterinary report and gallop.
