THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPRING PALACE (JP van der Merwe) was fractious loading, causing a delay. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start NORDIC CHIEF (C Orffer) was bumped outwards by TYRION LANNISTER (A Arries), which shifted out sharply leaving the stalls. b) TYRION LANNISTER (A Arries) over raced in the early stages. c) From a wide draw, SPRING PALACE (JP van der Merwe) was ridden forward and to the front of the field and thereafter tired quickly in the latter stages. d) Jockey C Bantam reported that HOLY ORDERS made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SPRING PALACE (JP van der Merwe), Trainer SJ Snaith will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. f) KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
