THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, HIGGLEDY PIGGLEDY (K Matsunyane) broke through the front gate. This filly was restrained by the Rider, returned to the starting stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer A Azzie was advised (GT). b) ALESIA'S LOVE (G Lerena) jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls. c) TEO TORRIATTE (R Danielson) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) REUNION HOTSPOT (*M K Katjedi) was unruly and refused to proceed to the start despite the assistance of a lead horse. This filly is suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.4, until such time as she proves tractable cantering to the start on a Raceday. Stable Employee B Mngeni, acting on behalf of Trainer A G Laird, was advised (DR). b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to HIGGLEDY PIGGLEDY, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 29 November 2023 to 5 December 2023. HIGGLEDY PIGGLEDY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A Azzie was advised. c) ALESIA'S LOVE (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Botha, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Magner, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ICE CAP was ridden by Jockey K A Brewer (declared 28 November 2023 at 08H13). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) TEO TORRIATTE raced without a tongue tie (declared 27 November 2023 at 07H04). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) GOTHIC PRINCESS in season. SCRATCHED: a) SCARLET RED off feed (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). b) INEVITABLE reserve runner. Advised 28 November 2023 at 08H15. c) REUNION HOTSPOT refused to proceed to the start (NHA / 12H40).
