THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TREASURE HUNT (L Mxothwa) stood awkwardly in the stalls. b) RESPECTABLE MISS (K Minnie) and HEARTSEASE (M Mjoka) were stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FLAME FLOWER (*KJ Lihaba) raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight. b) Jockey M Mjoka reported that HEARTSEASE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. c) In view of the performance of RESPECTABLE MISS (K Minnie) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) Trainer JVA Strydom was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he failed to ensure that OPERA SWING was correctly equipped when presented in the parade ring. Trainer JVA Strydom signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning. e) OFFICIAL SECRET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
