THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RED PALACE (A Andrews) refused to load and was withdrawn, causing a delay. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) From a wide draw MRS GERIATRIX (R Fourie) was taken in behind runners to obtain cover. b) BEACH BOMB (A Domeyer) shifted in sharply away from the crop at the 150m and had to be straightened. c) In view of the performance of JAPANESE ROSE (B Fayd'Herbe) and ROYALS (P Mxoli) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding RED PALACE (A Andrews), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion on a raceday. (Suspension dates: 03/12/2023 to 09/12/2023 inclusive). RED PALACE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. e) Trainer C Dawson was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that she failed to vaccinate JUST BE LEKKER against Equine Influenza in accordance with the program of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer C Dawson signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.00. f) BEACH BOMB, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
