THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCE VIHAAN (Y Ramzan) jumped outwards and bumped GALLIC TRIBE (R Khathi) leaving the stalls. b) PORT LOUIS (R Fourie) and OUTOFTHEDARKNESS (M Yeni) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) YOU KNOW WHO (C Maujean) bolted from the saddling area and was subsequently withdrawn by the course Veterinary Surgeon. b) Jockey R Fourie reported that, in his opinion, the performance of PORT LOUIS, which was hanging in in the straight, was disappointing. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) PERFECTION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
