THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOP MAN (C Zackey), MONSIEUR CHEVELLE (P Mxoli) and SKYFULL (K Matsunyane) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 1600m MONSIEUR CHEVELLE (P Mxoli) clipped the heels of SKYFULL (K Matsunyane), which commenced to over race and shifted in sharply, proving difficult to assist. b) Jockey R Fourie reported that SPARKLING JUBILEE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) VESUVIO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey was advised.
