THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN CORRUPT (*S Hlengwa) was stubborn to load and thereafter was fractious in the stalls. This gelding was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, and subsequently withdrawn. b) KNIGHT WARRIOR (C Maujean) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) HARLEY STREET (S Veale) was difficult to settle in the early stages. b) EL DRAQUE (*K J Lihaba) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. c) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with RUGGER BUGGER in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of ZABADAK (*R A Venniker), (8.85 lengths behind and 33/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to CAPTAIN CORRUPT (*S Hlengwa), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn, and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 21.12.23 to the 27.12.23. CAPTAIN CORRUPT may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel was advised.
