THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NUCLEAR FORCE (C Habib) was slow losing two lengths. b) UNIVERSAL LOVE (C Zackey) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 150m, NUCLEAR FORCE (C Habib) had to steady momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of INDIAN WAR DANCE (*M K Katjedi), which shifted out away from the crop. b) The sectional timing device became dislodged from THE INKOSANA (D Schwarz) at the 250m. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that CORAPI took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey S Khumalo reported that COROMANDEL took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this horse. e) Jockey G Lerena reported that AL BAYREG did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) In view of the performance of BROTHERHOODOFMAGIC (*S Sosibo), (distance 18,00 lengths, betting 6/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. g) INDIAN WAR DANCE (*M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
