THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the loading process, the front gate of SEA ANEMONE (D Schwarz) opened for no apparent reason resulting in this filly exiting through the front of the stalls. SEA ANEMONE was restrained by Jockey D Schwarz, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. b) In the concluding stages, SEA ANEMONE (D Schwarz) was bumped in by STORM PLAYER (S Khumalo), which rolled in. c) Jockey C Maujean reported that IN THE BEGINNING took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the performance of SECOND BREATH (K A Brewer), (distance 12,50 lengths, betting 25/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) CULLINAN BLUE (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Crawford, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
