THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) JOU LEKKER DING (A Arries) was stubborn loading.
b) TIMELINE (O Noach) was restless in the stalls, was taken out and reloaded.
c) REGINA TAMARA (G Wright), RUBY CLAIRE (M Winnaar), CHAKPORI (C Bantam) and OVER THE ATALANTIC (B Fayd'Herbe) were restless in the stalls.
d) DAFNES DAUGHTER (G van Niekerk), RUBY CLAIRE (M Winnaar), OVER THE ATALANTIC (B Fayd'Herbe) and GIRL ABOUT TOWN (K Steyn) jumped slow, losing 1 length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) DAFNES DAUGHTER dislodged Jockey G van Niekerk while leaving the parade ring and was immediately taken in hand. Thereafter DAFNES DAUGHTER (G van Niekerk) proved difficult and required the assistance of a lead pony when proceeding to the start, causing a delay. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future engagements, she may be suspended.
b) Leaving the 400m GIRL ABOUT TOWN (K Steyn), which raced green, shifted in sharply away from the crop.
c) At the 250m JOU LEKKER DING (A Arries), which raced green, had to be directed outwards away from the heels of a tiring PENNY'S WORLD (D Ashby).
d) At the 200m LADIES WORLD (L Mxothwa) and CORAL BLAZE (J Solomons), both of which raced green, brushed.
e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding TIMELINE (O Noach) Trainer VH Marshall will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
f) Trainer JMT Stewart was charged with a contravention of Rule 38.3 in that he failed to have the passport for PENNY'S WORLD available for inspection prior to this horse racing. Trainer JMT Stewart signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R500,00. This filly was identified to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards by way of her microchip number, which corresponded to the NHRA database.
g) ALL IS GREEN (C Orffer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GW Ennion was advised. (SC)
