THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) BIG BOY BRUCE (K A Brewer) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised (GT).
b) SILVER SEVEN (D Schwarz) was stubborn loading, thereafter, jumped inwards leaving the stalls and
was slow losing two lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) As the start was effected, CHARLIE'S DREAM (Wes Marwing) and SOCIAL SET (D De Gouveia) came together and bumped. Shortly thereafter, PEARL HARBOR (J R Syster) and CAYENNE PEPPER (*D B Geerthsen) were bumped in by CHARLIE'S DREAM (Wes Marwing), which rolled in.
b) SUTHERLAND (K Matsunyane) hung out from the 200m.
c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to BIG BOY BRUCE, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on two (2) consecutive race days. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised.
d) JOKER MAN (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
