THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair break. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey D De Gouveia, the rider of BATTLE OF SEATTLE did not persevere with his riding from the 200m and after the race reported something amiss. In view of this report, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) TRADITION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Stidolph advised (GF) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) JUSTADOREHER (W Marwing) raced without blinkers. b) Jockey W Marwing, the rider of JUSTADOREHER, weighed out at 55.9kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight as declared. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) BATTLE OF SEATTLE was examined post race and was found to have elevated respiratory rate. b) JUSTADOREHER was examined post race and nothing untoward was found.
