THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LIFE LESSON (R Danielson) was stubborn loading. Trainer S J Gray was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (GT). b) ANGELOFTHEMORNING (J R Syster) stood losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. Trainer H van der Westhuizen was advised (GT). c) HYDRANGEA (*S Sosibo) and GILDA GRAY (D Schwarz) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice S Sosibo, the rider of HYDRANGEA, accidentally dropped his crop at the 150m. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with ROSE TINTED in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ANGELOFTHEMORNING, this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 3 January 2024 to 9 January 2024. ANGELOFTHEMORNING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer H van der Westhuizen was advised. d) ROSY LEMON (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
