THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SAMSAI (M Yeni) and MADAME POMPADOUR (R Fourie) over-raced in the early stages. b) In view of the performances of SAMSAI (M Yeni) (9.30 lengths, 10/1 in the betting) and MADAME POMPADOUR (R Fourie) (10.20 lengths, 18/10 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) SUMMER SONG (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
