THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HORIZON VIEW (C Habib) was slow losing three lengths and thereafter slow into stride. Trainer A P Peter was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (PHvdW). b) CHERRY OH BABY (G Lerena) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) HORIZON VIEW (C Habib), after being slow away, failed to muster speed on debut and raced detached from the field throughout. b) CHERRY OH BABY (G Lerena), after being slow away, raced detached from the field up until the 600m where, in response to Jockey G Lerena's urging, this filly managed to regain contact with the field and finished her race off strongly. c) HILLARY STEP (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
