THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BOSSY BOOTS (D De Gouveia) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, ARTICUNO (K Matsunyane) and MAGICAL STONES (C Habib) were bumped out by BOSSY BOOTS (D De Gouveia), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) Jockey C Habib reported that MAGICAL STONES changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Trainer B Webber was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.3 in that he failed to vaccinate QUIET STRENGTH against African Horse sickness in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer B Webber signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1000 was imposed. Trainer B Webber was advised that QUIET STRENGTH may not be nominated for any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority until fully vaccinated against African Horse Sickness. d) ARTICUNO (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Crawford, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
