THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ESTHER (R Fourie) was restless in the stalls and rushed the front gates, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. b) BONNAROO (K Minnie), TIME FOR GLORY (Y Ramzan) and CHERE FOR ME (R Khathi) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CHERE FOR ME (R Khathi) lacked early speed and raced detached from the field in the early stages. b) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with PARIS LASS, which was hanging in from the 250m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey M Mjoka reported that TIPSY TINA changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) GOLDEN PACIFIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
