THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAIL THE SKY (M Yeni) was restless in the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. b) LEGAL THRILLER (K Minnie), THE WINTER LAKE (L Mxothwa) and WAZ WOUTER (*KJ Lihaba) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race and the thirty-minute interval between races. b) In view of the performance of SAIL THE SKY (M Yeni), which took an awkward stride shortly after the start and again approaching the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) The saddle on GLOBAL FORCE (S Khumalo) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. d) FAIRY KNIGHT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
