THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AVRO PRINCE (C Maujean) : Lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, YANNAKIS (C Dicken) and AVRO PRINCE (C Maujean) came together and brushed. b) AVRO PRINCE (C Maujean) raced detached from the field throughout. c) YANNAKIS (C Dicken) shifted in away from the crop from the 200m. d) At the 200m, GENERAL BYNG (D Daniels) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed between RUN TO RIO (S Veale) and HEAVEN'S WILL (C Habib) which rolled in. Jockey C Habib (HEAVEN'S WILL) appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take timeous corrective measures to straighten his mounts when they shift ground in races in future. e) Jockey S Moodley (RICHARDTHEFEARLESS) and Jockey T Godden (GLOBAL ENTITY) reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Trainer C Hewitson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse ISORENDER. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was issued. g) YANNAKIS (C Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G Rich advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) RICHARDTHEFEARLESS raced equipped with blinkers (advised 24.01.24/8h05). b) YANNAKIS raced equipped with blinkers (advised 21.01.24/6h27). c) GENERAL BYNG raced equipped with blinkers (advised 24.01.24/7h43). d) GLOBAL ENTITY raced with alumite bar shoes in front, alumites behind (advised 18.01.24/13h30). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) RICHARDTHEFEARLESS : Nothing obvious detected. b) GLOBAL ENTITY : Nothing obvious detected. Returned post-race having cast the right front shoe. c) CASTLE MEY : Speedy cut left hind. SCRATCHINGS : a) MAGMA MAGIC : Not eating up (Trainer - 24.01.24/7h43).
