BOATSWAIN (AUS) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. REBEL RENEGADE was graded to load and jump with a Monty Roberts blanket. The blanket was fitted at the start and REBEL RENEGADE was loaded accordingly. The strap on the Monty Roberts blanket was then attached to the back of the starting stall gate as per normal procedure for the purpose of removing the blanket as the horse jumps. However as the start was effected and REBEL RENEGADE jumped from the stalls, this strap snapped which resulted in the blanket remaining in place and only becoming dislodged after a couple of strides which resulted in this gelding losing two lengths. WINDY FLIGHT took an awkward stride at the 200m. Jockey Murray reported that MANX PARK was blowing heavily post race. PEARL OF SIBERIA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. INSIDE POLITICS and SEVENTH SON raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. PEARL OF SIBERIA and MANX PARK raced unshod. GOLDEN MAN raced without a tongue tie. Vet: GOLDEN MAN - cut into right front. MANX PARK - blowing post race. Scratched: KILDONAN'S ROSE - sold without engagements. MR HUGO - insufficient recovery time. PHILLYDELPHIA - not striding out left front.
