THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SISTER LIGHT (S Khumalo) was nervous in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start CHRONICLESOFNANIA (M Mjoka) was steadied and made contact with the hindquarters of MEL'S PRINCESS (D Ashby) when brushed outwards by EASY LIVING (M Yeni), which jumped awkwardly and then shifted out. b) Jockey R Fourie reported that DEFINITELY MAYBE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. c) SISTER LIGHT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised. (LM) d) CHERE FOR M, the third-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee E Griebenow, acting on behalf of Trainer JVA Strydom, was advised.
