THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RAFINO (D S Lembethe) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls GRANDE SIGNOR (C F Dicken) which was slow into stride, was bumped in by IMAGINABLE (R A Venniker) which jumped inwards. As a result, GRANDE SIGNOR (C F Dicken) and SEND ME (R Fourie) made contact, and GRANDE SIGNOR (C F Dicken) commenced to over-race in the early stages proving difficult to settle. b) Leaving the 1000m ISORENDER (*S Hlengwa) which over-raced in the early stages, ran onto and clipped the heels of ROCK OF BISMANTOVA (G Lerena). c) In the concluding stages BASIE RAAKVAT (D Daniels) which was hanging out from the 400m, raced in restricted room between TIBBOT BOURKE (A Mgudlwa) and ROCK OF BISMANTOVA (G Lerena). d) IMAGINABLE (R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
