THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STAR CHOICE (C Zackey) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 1200m GRECIAN PALACE (W Marwing) was steadied when racing in close proximity to the heels of GOLDEN ASPEN (M V'Rensburg) which over-raced in the early stages and rolled in marginally. b) At the 300m GOLDEN ASPEN (M V'Rensburg) was inconvenienced when racing in close proximity to the heels of STAR CHOICE (C Zackey) which rolled out. Thereafter GOLDEN ASPEN (M V'Rensburg) was switched to the outside of runners to obtain a clear run. c) Jockey D De Gouveia reported he felt something amiss with FLIGHT MANEUVER in the running, and as a result did not persevere with his ride in the concluding stages.
