THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 400m UNITED WE STAND (+P Fama) had to be steadied when tightened for galloping room between NOON DAY GUN (+L Burke), which shifted out away from DONTSTOPBELIEVIN' (+B Thwalani) and BLACK HOLE SUN (+B Nkunzi), which shifted in away from THREE COINS (+SH Feni). b) After the running of this race, the Clerk of Scales reported that Work Rider SH Feni, the rider of THREE COINS, had weighed in at 58.7kg which was more than 0.5kg below the weight at which he was declared out (59.5kgs). The Clerk of Scales lodged an objection against THREE COINS in terms of NHA Rule 68.2.11. The Objection Board, after taking evidence from all parties concerned, upheld the objection and in terms of Rule 69.7 ruled that THREE COINS be disqualified. The Stewards have opened an investigation into this matter. c) ROUGAROUIN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
