THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TREASURE HUNT (L Mxothwa) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates. b) UNYIELDING (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. c) LADY TIPTREE (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) UNYIELDING (R Fourie) and METAR (M Yeni) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. b) Jockey C Zackey reported that LADY TIPTREE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) KABON KAPI (C Maujean) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr K Davis) d) SILVERY BLUE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
