THE STARTER REPORTED: a) After being hooded, GLOBAL FORCE (C Zackey), which was stubborn loading, took charge of its Handler and made contact with the back gate of the starting stalls, was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. b) When GLOBAL FORCE (C Zackey) made contact with the back gate of the starting stalls, FAIRY KNIGHT (R Fourie) became restless in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a further delay. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LEGAL THRILLER (K Minnie) pulled hard in the early and middle stages. b) At the 300m WAZ WOUTER (M Yeni) was momentarily inconvenienced when racing tight between FAIRY KNIGHT (R Fourie), which rolled out marginally and TRIP TO MAPUTO (G Wright), which was hanging in and shifted in slightly. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding GLOBAL FORCE (C Zackey), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 24/02/2024 to 01/03/2024 inclusive). GLOBAL FORCE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. d) FAIRY KNIGHT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
