THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ARLINGTON ACTION (R Munger) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BLACK LIGHTNING (D Schwarz) hung in from the 500m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Leaving the 300m, BLACKBERRY BREEZE (C Habib), which had come to the end of its run, was steadied momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of KING'S EXPRESS (G Lerena), which hung in from the 500m. c) In view of the performance of NO PLACE LIKE HOME (M Yeni), (distance 12,50 lengths, betting 3/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the performance of BLACKBERRY BREEZE (C Habib), (distance 15,00 lengths, betting 7/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that CELTIC RUSH did not stride out freely and made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
