THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ZARIYAH (S Naidoo) was restless in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay b) DAWN OF GOLD (M Yeni) was nervous in the stalls. c) DEMIGOD (JP van der Merwe) and BURN BABY BURN (S Khumalo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KOMESANS PASSION (Y Ramzan) was hanging out in the latter stages. b) Jockey S Khumalo reported that BURN BABY BURN changed stride continually in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) HILDELITA (L Mxothwa) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
