THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DHONI (S Moodley) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) DUBAI HILLS (C Maujean) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ATARIME (P Mxoli) over-raced in the early stages. b) Jockey P Strydom felt something amiss with HAWKBILL and eased this gelding out of the race at the 700m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer M N Houdalakis was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of HAWKBILL on return to stables. c) In view of the performance of DUBAI HILLS (C Maujean), (distance 16,50 lengths, betting 11/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) MARAUDING HORDE (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
