DRAMBUIE lost one length. Jockey Marcus reported that MACALLAN made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. Jockey Veale reported that WINTER OASIS did not stride out freely in the running. Jockey Moodley signed an admission of guilt for a contravention, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse RUNNING FREELY more than 12 times in the entire race. In determining a penalty, the Board considered Jockey Moodley's recent record in relation to this Rule and the manner in which he used his crop. Accordingly, a penalty of R2000 was imposed. RUNNING FREELY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MACALLAN - abnormal respiratory noise and coughing. WINTER OASIS - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: DIFFERENT LIGHT - no transport.
